RPAS

The National Aerial Firefighting Centre (NAFC) has initiated a program designed to address a national approach to developing RPAS capability and capacity. The four key areas of the program will develop a national capability roadmap that addresses:

  • RPAS Capabilities – Current and Future
  • RPAS Doctrine
  • RPAS Procurement and Registry
  • RPAS Regulatory Framework

The first stage of the program was to survey AFAC member agencies on their current capability.

Due to popular requests from RPAS users, there is now an online group for AFAC members to engage with other users across Australia. The aim of the group is to provide a platform to seek advice and share lessons on implementation of RPAS into regular agency business.
